Just had to post a picture of the wonderful little lap quilt that my 9 year old granddaughter worked on when she was here over Spring Break. Well, it's been almost a month since the last comment on the Songbird quilt. It is just about finished! But, I am having some problems with the borders. The pattern calls for mitered corners and that is all well and good and would look wonderful....except for one minor detail. In my last post I stated that I had all the fabric cut out for my Songbird quilt...well, I wish I would have stopped cutting and started sewing so see if the pattern measurements were accurate...you guessed it--they WEREN'T. I am really finished now with the table runner for Aunt Betty and I'm off to the post office to get it mailed as soon as I post the pics to Quaint & Cozy. I was very pleased with the outcome considering it's the first I've ever made. Every once in a while I move into "warp speed" and really amaze myself with my accomplishments! I am referring today to the fact that I have the top finished on the table runner that I am making for Aunt Betty. I think it came out quite nicely, if I do say so myself!
